Plan everything in advance

Planning your tour is vital because Japan provides a wide variety of experiences. Choose the cities and tourist destinations you want to visit, as well as your travel dates and the seasons to reflect on. Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima are Japan's most popular travel locations.Note - when choosing the dates for your tour, consider the weather conditions and the school holidays.

Get ready with your documents

As you know, having your travel documents ready much in advance is essential. Visas, passports, and travel insurance cards are all important. If you have reserved the flights, have the reservation confirmations printed so you are all set to go. When in Japan, do not forget to take the JR Pass (Japan Railways pass) which lets you travel in normal trains and bullet trains as a local.

Opt for a good hotel

Planning to spend your holiday in Tokyo? In cities such as Shibuya in Tokyo apartments offer the best accommodation facilities for family holiday-makers. Properties such as Oakwood Residence Aoyama Tokyo are often recommended as they are enriched with great facilities and amenities.

Plan the places you want to visit

There are quite a lot of attractions to be visited in Japan with your kids. Children of all ages can enjoy fantastic experiences at Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea, and they also can view a wide range of animals at Japan's oldest zoo, the Ueno Zoo, which is situated in Ueno Park, Tokyo. If your kids are fans of Studio Ghibli's animated films, take them to the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka, Tokyo, and Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, which has attractions based on popular films.Note- If you plan to take the public transportation networks (eg- trains), know the respective train routes. See if there are any other attractions you may visit with your kids on the same route.

Learn some Japanese (before you go)

As you are aware, Japanese is the most widely spoken language in the country. English is also accepted, but you will (in some instances) face some challenges when communicating in English in Japan. So, why won't you go prepared? 'Konnichiwa' is the main greeting in Japan which says 'Hello', and 'Arigatou' means 'Thank You'. You will surely learn many other phrases during your stay in Japan, and you will also use them when communicating with the locals.

Know the ethics

Japan is a country that values its culture. When in Japan, you will have to respect their culture and avoid criticising it. Some public attractions may require you to wear decent clothes (especially, the temples), so make sure you respect those traditions as well. Be gentle and polite with the locals, and showcase your respect towards them when in Japan. J

apanese dishes

Know what to eat when in Japan. This needs much research. Sushi and ramen (although they are the most popular) are not the only dishes you can find in Japan. There are a lot more! Try out Okonomiyaki and street food items you find in Japan for a more delicious experience. Note - learn how to use chopsticks when eating before your Japanese tour. You may use the spoons, but eating with chopsticks will let you enjoy a whole new experience. And yes, you will love it too!
