Unveiling Plearn Wan Shopping Village

The real gem of Hua Hin, Plearn Wan Shopping Village, is an open-air shopping mall. Shopping at this location is considered one of the best things to do in Hua Hin, Thailand, and this isn’t just a shopping centre; it’s an experience. The mall is designed in a vintage style, which takes you back to the 1950s in Thailand. Shopping isn’t the only thing you can do here; what you discover here is an experience filled with music, art, and food. If you are lucky, you’ll even catch an outdoor movie screening. This shopping centre is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore culture, history, and shopping all in one place.

Getting Here 

From Bangkok, you can get here within two to three hours. Once you are in Hua Hin, you can get to Hua Hin easily by tuk-tuk, taxi, and bike. What’s more, Plearn Wan Shopping Village is located just 15 minutes from Anantara Hua Hin Resort. 

Things to Know 

You can visit Plearn Wan Shopping Village from 10 am to 10 pm. However, on weekends, you can shop here until midnight. There’s no entrance fee, but make sure you have some cash for shopping and food. While the weather is generally pleasant, you should always check the weather forecast as there can be sudden rain showers.  

Best Time to Explore 

November to February is the best time to visit Hua Hin as the weather is generally dry during this time. However, if you want a quieter experience, consider visiting during the off-peak season from March to October, but brace yourself for some rain. 

Food and Drinks at Plearn Wan

You can’t talk about Plearn without mentioning the food. Thai street food steals the show here. From Pad Thai to Mango Sticky Rice, you’ll find an array of Thai food delights here. You need to try the drinks too – traditional Thai iced tea is a tonic on a hot day. If you have a sweet tooth, don’t miss out on the variety of Thai desserts available. 

Shopping 

Plearn Wan is a paradise for shopaholics – make sure you have enough space in your luggage. You’ll find a mix of everything – from vintage items, and handmade crafts, to traditional Thai products. This is a great place to pick up some unique souvenirs and gifts.

Festivals and Events 

Plearn Wan also hosts several events and festivals throughout the year. There’s the Songkran festival in April, where you can experience the traditional Thai New Year celebrations. And then there’s the Loy Krathong festival in November. So, check out the events calendar before you go.
