Explore Souq Waqif

Your visit to Doha wouldn’t be complete without visiting the well-known Souq Waqif which happens to be a traditional marketplace that has existed for centuries. Today, you will find a captivating selection of goods here including gold jewellery, bronze lamps, aromatic spices, vibrantly coloured fabrics and much more; there’s even a section where falcons are sold. Another absorbing experience in Doha would be visiting the remarkable Villaggio Mall. You will see that this mall has an Italian theme, with canals as well as gondolas inspired by the city of Venice. Shopping in this air-conditioned environment would be a pleasant experience, and you will also find the Gondolania Theme Park and an Olympic-size ice rink here. 

Whilst this mall would feature upscale brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Christian Dior, there would also be more affordably priced shops as well.  

 Admire Katara Cultural Village

Culture lovers visiting the Qatari capital should undoubtedly take the opportunity to visit Katara Cultural Village. Here, you would find several interesting features with a splendid Greco-Roman style amphitheatre taking pride of place; one would have the chance to experience the various festivals and performances which are staged throughout the year. 

Visitors would find many things to keep them occupied here, with galleries and shops to explore, a pleasant beach where they could relax and unwind, and cafes for a light meal and a drink. Next to Katara Cultural Village is a beach too, an ideal place to take kids and enjoy water sports.
