  • By Train

Batticaloa Railway Station: This is the nearest train station to Pasikuda. A journey from Colombo Fort Railway Station to Batticaloa typically takes seven to eight hours. Upon arriving in Batticaloa, you can opt for a taxi or a tuk-tuk to Pasikuda.

  • By Road

You can board an express bus or hire a taxi from Colombo. The drive from Colombo takes about eight hours. What to See in Pasikuda These are the must-visit spots that should be part of your itinerary: 

  • Pasikuda Beach:  A favourite among visitors, this beach offers breathtaking turquoise ocean views and golden sands. It's ideal for a swim, sunbathing, or watching the sunset.

Must-Try Dishes Pasikuda, being a prime beach spot on Sri Lanka's east coast, offers a blend of traditional and coastal cuisine. Here's a list of some of the signature dishes you might want to try:
